A delegation from Heritage Christian University (HCU), led by its President, Dr. Samuel Twumasi-Ankrah, paid a courtesy visit to the management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) at the Council Chamber. The visit aimed to express gratitude for KNUST’s mentorship and to seek further collaboration as HCU embarks on its next phase of growth.
Dr. Twumasi-Ankrah commended KNUST for its invaluable support since the affiliate agreement was signed in 2012, acknowledging that the mentorship provided played a crucial role in HCU’s attainment of a presidential charter.
“KNUST has been instrumental in shaping our academic journey. Through your mentorship, we have transitioned into a fully-fledged university in a relatively short time,” he noted. He further emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration to sustain HCU’s academic excellence and institutional development.
Accompanying Dr. Twumasi-Ankrah were HCU’s Vice President and Provost, Professor Williams Abayaawien Atuilik, and Registrar, Dr. Christopher Akwaa-Mensah.
The Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, warmly welcomed the delegation and congratulated HCU on achieving university status. She affirmed KNUST’s pride in mentoring institutions that uphold high academic standards.
“You have demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence, and it is no surprise that after 13 years of mentorship, you have attained this milestone. KNUST remains committed to supporting you even beyond this achievement,” she assured.
Professor Dickson further encouraged HCU to maintain a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that its academic and institutional standards remain high.
Also present at the meeting were KNUST’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor David Asamoah, Senior Assistant Registrar and Affiliations Officer, Mrs. Oluwakemi Abisola Titiloye, and Junior Assistant Registrar, Mr. Gibridu Oppong.
